Coron is a first-class municipality in the Province of Palawan Philippines and it has a population of 50,000+ people.
Coron has so much to offer, from the historical significance of World War II sunken ships to the pristine coral reefs and the scenic coastlines, there is something for everyone seeking fun and adventures. There are a lot of Travel agencies and people near the town that offers a lot of Island tour and cheap packages.

If you're planning to visit Coron Palawan Philippines, I recommend you to stay there for 5 days or more because 2-3 days isn't enough to see all of the beautiful places, sceneries, and attractions. I actually compare the 2 Island based on my experience, Coron is really different from Boracay though they both have crystal clear water and for me, if you're a type of person who just wants to chill, unwind, and would like to stay in a quiet place, Coron is the best place for you. Boracay Island is also a great place because there's a lot of restaurants, bars, that you can visit at night.

A lot of Airline companies offer direct flights every day like Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, and Skyjet to Busuanga Airport (Coron) and it's just an hour away from Manila and another 30-45 minutes travel time going to our hotel.
We stayed in Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel for a week and that is one of the best hotels that I've ever seen since I started traveling. The food is very delicious, the staffs are very accommodating especially the girl that always served us food every day named Tricia or Trix.

(Sunset view)
The hotel offers a lot of amenities including Resto Lounge, Skydeck Jacuzzi, Wi-Fi, resto-bar, souvenir shop, Bayside infinity pool, gym, free buffet breakfast and more.
What I loved the most is their Infinity Pool, it is around 4 feet deep, there's a lot of sun chairs, the area is very clean and its a great place to watch the sunset. The view is just really stunning!!
This place is good for taking nice photos.
For the Island tour, we took advantage of the 7 highlights and must-see destinations in Coron which is the Ultimate Coron Island Tour. (You can ask for the receptionist if you're planning to stay in this hotel). The Island tour includes a trip to:
1. Kayangan Lake also known as the cleanest and clearest lake in the Philippines and in Asia.
2. Twin Lagoons - The first lagoon is where the boat dock, while the second lagoon is hidden, the only access of which is a small crevice underneath the rock, or during high tide, a ladder over the rock.
3. Siete Pecados Marine Park is the nearest snorkeling area from the town of Coron.
4. Beach 91 is the usual stopover for lunch when touring around the islands of Coron. The beach is characterized by coastal wooden huts connected by seasoned bridges, perfect for a relaxing afternoon siesta!
5. Skeleton Wreck is a popular Snorkelling spot in Coron Bay. It is also possible to scuba dive this small 25m long Shipwreck. The top of the Skeleton is 5m deep and going down to 22m at the stern. This is an easy dive ideal for beginners.
6. Malwawey Reef & Coral Garden is also a snorkeling spot in Coron Bay.
7. CYC Beach - The Coron Youth Club beach. Coron, Palawan is one of the places in the Philippines blessed with an exceptional marine life adorned with vast underwater creatures, stunning rock formations, and clear blue waters.
Package inclusions are free transportation, round trip (hotel- Island Tour-hotel) transfers, fully air-conditioned van, very accommodating and licensed tour guide, free buffet lunch, local delicacy snacks during tours free use of Kayaks, beach cottages and professional vest. There will be an additional 150 pesos charge if you want to use their mask, snorkel gears, towels, and insect repellant. A tip is not compulsory.
These are the prices that they gave us during our trip.

We also climb Mt. Tapyas during our stay in Coron since the tour guide told us to also visit this tourist destination. It got its name from the Filipino term "Tapys" which means cut or chip in English. It is the second tallest mountain and one of the most dominant lands features around the town of Coron in Busuanga Island, Palawan. It is (210 meters) high.
Before you reach the top you need to climb over 700 steps to the top. This will test your endurance and I recommend you to bring loads of water and towel because you will get really tired and sweaty and you can use the concrete benches if you're too tired and wanted a rest for a bit. I was really amazed by the epic views when we already reached the summit.
You can see the whole town proper, and the surrounding Islands. The view in the summit is just very relaxing and beautiful.
We also went to Maquinit Hot Springs, it is one of the very few saltwater hot springs in the world. Located along the southern coast of Busuanga Island, it is one 30-minute tricycle ride away from the town proper of Coron along a rough, curvy road. It is said that the water gets heated by a volcano and springs up into the two-tiered circular pool.
You can get to Maquinit Hot Springs by taking a tricycle to the resort. Fare is around 300 pesos round trip. The tricycle will wait for you and take you back to the town center. There is also an entrance fee of 150 pesos per person and they're open from 6am to 10pm.
The next day we took another Island Tour which is the Coron Island Escapade( Bulog Dos / Malcapuya Island and the Banana Island). It is located 2 hours away from the Coron Proper Town. This tour is one of my favorite because of Malcapuya Island (one of the clearest Islands I saw in my life). We started a little bit early on this trip around 8 in the morning.
Bulog Dos is one of the many beautiful islands of the Calamianes. It is located close to the tip of Malaroyroy Peninsula at the northern end of Bulalacao, an island located southwest of Coron Island and adjacent to Culion Island. This is where we had our lunch and this was the first stopover in one of the tours.
Malcapuya Island was definitely one of the highlights of our Coron Trip. I have been to a lot of beaches and this one the best Island for me. They called it Mini Boracay of Coron because it has a beautiful powdery white sand beach. Great just to hang out, take a selfie with jaw-dropping scenery.
Welcome to Malcapuya Island Resort
(Breathtaking view)
(Love the powdery sand)
(Hammock) we call it Duyan in Filipino.
(No filter)
(Amazing)
(Very nice rock formation)
and lastly the Banana Island, it is a fish and coral sanctuary in the southern part of Coron, Palawan, Philippines.  Preserved and privately-owned by Gallego Family, they allow visitors to swim and see the clams, corals and lots of fishes just a few meters from the shoreline of the island.
 (Group jump shot pic)
The boat ride to this island can be a little rough and scary if it's your first time because of the strong waves but its definitely worth it.
Overall, Coron Palawan is the best Island for me so far and I always want to go back here again and again. LOL

That's all I can share for now and I will be sharing more of our next destination soon. Hope you find this helpful.
